Pancakes, like most other foods these days are coming out of the woodwork and becoming gourmet treats. No need for them to be always sweet.....and no need to always separate sweet and savory. Try adding any herb of choice to your batter and serving with butter, or adding herbs to the butter for plain pancakes. Then, try herbed syrups (lavender, thyme and sage syrups are divine on plain or blueberry cakes)
