Love Your Pet Day/Cat Health Month

Pets need our support in maintaining their health-especially those that are not allowed outdoors. Talk to you vet about new protocols in vaccination schedules that seem to cut down on possible cancers and feed them with as much natural food as possible. There are a lot of choices on the market for organic foods. Because of their shorter life spans, animals are much more sensative to poor nutritional choices than we are. Any herbal for humans can give you suggestions for treating pets with herbs--just lower the dosage. But, do check out the various animal herbals out there--start with Dr. Pitcarin's Natural Pet Care.  For everyday treats, try making dogs biscuits yourself (they even make bone shaped cookie cutters now) and cats will always appreciate a sack of catnip or valerian.
